Resource Program

St. Matthew is committed to meeting the needs of all of our students in the general education program. The school provides a quality Student Support Program through our Resource Department, whose staff provides the service  of licensed teachers for students in need of remedial or other supportive-type services. Additionally, Student Support has services for those students who might be performing above grade level.

Social Worker

St. Matthew School employs a trained professional School Counselor. Our Counselor provides individual support to students as well as crisis intervention.

St. Matthew School Counselor can supply referral information.

Second Step

St. Matthew School has curated a modern approach to social-emotional learning (SEL) with a program entitled Second Steps®. Children benefit from social-emotional learning at any time, but today it is especially important to help them develop the skills they need to connect and thrive. Second Step® is a  leading research-based SEL curriculum for students and is provided during daily instructions.
